Essay

Essay

What would you do if your father was responsible for the murder of your mother? Would you keep it quiet, or would you speak to the authorities? In the book First Shot a boy named Rick must get to the bottom of this case about his father. Even if it means he dies trying.

The book starts with Rick moving into his dorm room and meeting with the principal and such. It's Really slow from this point onto the climax, but i think thats because the author wants to keep you guessing about what might happen next. I kind of wanted to stop reading here but it was a book from my brother library and it was due soon so i decided to just keep on trucking instead of just giving up. So i kept reading.

In the next couple chapters i started to notice a pattern. It was almost as if it were repeating itself. Like it went, build up tension within the reader, let it go, and so on and so forth. So it was getting kind of old so i stopped reading the book for awhile. Until one day when i was bored i picked up the book once again. \Maybe for the last time.

The book ended with the killer caught and the boy liberated. I predicted this from the start, so i guess I wasn't that surprisedwhen the ending came forth. Either way i wouldn't mind reading it again, mostly because nothing could stop Rick, not even his own father.

Too young to go

To young to go   Creative piece 4

I was inside reading a book
When my babysitter exclaimed in shock "come look!"
I rushed to the window and was also shocked to see
A mother and daughter frog struggling in pain and agony
I ran, I flew, I flowed to the pool
Looking for some sort of helping tool
I found a pool brush and help the daughter out
She was rather quite quick and fast like a mouse
She jumped and jumped then stopped moving, dead.
I froze in place then shook my head
I saved the mother who would've been dead
I took a moment to honor the soul
Then nudged the mother back to her hole.

Fear (writing circle piece 3)

I have been to many many places, such as The Bahamas, and Mexico, but the weird thing is, I'm horrified of planes and heights and anything in between. I'm also afraid of being alone in my house. 1. Because its big. 2. There are a lot of windows waiting to be broken in to. 3. My basement is haunted. Well at least i think it i because i always hear noises and my name being called. but no one is there. Maybe im skitsophranic! DUN DUN DUN

Silly Little Catfish (writing circle piece 2)

There once was a catfish. He was but a young one, born about five days ago. Then along came mother catfish, who nudged Little catfish to bed. Twas his bedtime. Then along in the night, the fisherman came. With a mighty swing, he cast his line into the pond where the mother and child lived. Having no experience with fishermen, the mother investigated to see what the shiny hook was. Having no hands she bit the hook instead and within but a few seconds, Mother catfish was gone. In the morning Little catfish noticed that the pond was unusually quiet and still. His Mommy was gone. The fisherman then proceeded to catch the silly little catfish and reunite him with his mother at his house, in a fish tank.

If i had one wish. (writing circle piece)

If I had one wish I would probably wish to be a Movie star actor guy. Mostly because they make a lot of money and pretty much get anything they want. Then because of all the money I would have from being an actor, I would buy a mansion with an arcade and a movie theater, even though i have a movie theater in my current house. Any way I would also start my own charity to help the research against every type of cancer ever discovered. Then I would give more money to fighting world hunger. Then again I shouldn't think so far ahead because everyone knows that wishes are fake. But who knows it might happen and it might not.

Creative Piece

Wow. Look at you, looking at me to look at yourself. And don’t act like you weren't not confused by what I just said. You people are so full of yourself. All you do is look at yourself. Why not admire me for a change. How would you like it if you sat in one place for as long as I have, and had to look at people trying on clothes, and obsessing over themselves. Its not fun. In fact, I'm jealous. I wish I had been born a table or a window frame but noooo I had to be a reflective surface. Did you know I had dreams too? Emphasis on had. Instead of living my dream as a sailboat captain,  I'm stuck in some chicks room. Not the cleanest room I've ever seen. Also, why is there always a boy coming in through your window? Do your parents know about this mysterious man? If I had arms, legs and a mouth, I would totally tell your dad. What would happen if I did? Would you get in trouble? I would soooo love that. Considering the fact that you totally don’t care about anything if it's yours. I know you can't hear me but did you know you got some major issues? Well you do. You should see a psychologist about that. But I bet he wouldn't listen. Probably because your too whiny and annoying. Which brings me to my final point. You get whatever you want and its not fair! You think I don’t want things? Well I do. Like a scooter or maybe a nice bike. Which doesn't make sense because I don’t have limbs. Wait a second. What are you doing with that Windex and towel? NOOO. Wait. Your cleaning me! You know what, I may just be a mirror but your not that bad!
