How would you like it if you had to wear the same thing routinely every day? I’m guessing you wouldn’t. Wouldn’t you like to express yourself through your clothes? I do and that’s why I think that all the schools in the nation should ban uniforms.

I think that schools should ban uniforms because it’s our right to express ourselves in          whatever way we want. Whether it is shown by clothes, or words. Mostly because we all know our First Amendment clearly states that we may express our freedom of speech in a variety of many different ways. My main statement is that uniforms should be prohibited from schools across the nation.

Furthermore, why should we go against our founding fathers? In addition,

Many of my friends from schools that require uniforms agree with everything I say. They all hate uniforms and they wonder why they are forced to wear the same thing day after day. If we hold the 10 amendments so dear, why do we take away from them? Is that freedom of speech limited? If so I would love for the person in charge of uniformed schools to enlighten me on why they have to wear uniforms.

Admittedly, I understand why some schools want their students to wear uniforms. May it be because they want their students to look formal or, maybe there has been inappropriate clothing in the past, or maybe there have been situations where students have hidden things in their clothes. I think that if the students have to have uniforms the teachers should have to wear them too. It would only be fair. It doesn’t matter if they have one day of the week, like a casual Friday, to wear regular clothing. They shouldn’t be able to change a person whether it is by clothes or hair.

However, I think all these things should be considered. Maybe there should be a certain amount of misconduct that happens before uniforms are assigned. Even then it should have to be a reasonable amount of infractions that have occurred to be able to take away someone’s rights. Or maybe there should be uniformed periods. Where uniforms are assigned to people who are wearing inappropriate clothing must wear uniforms for the rest of the day. Maybe even resort to contacting parents and try to get them to bring an extra set of clothes

In conclusion, I still think uniforms are restricting the creativity of kids and teens of uniformed schools. Which I know should never be done. Who knows the mental or physical damage this could do to a creative child. No one, especially the United States of America, should go against our own founding fathers. Wasn’t it them who wrote the Amendment? We shouldn’t be able to change something we had nothing to do with. And that is why I think uniforms should be banned from all schools in America.
