Reflection on The Pearl

The pearl might possibly destroy the family because they think its a power and it might get out of control. Partially because of the doctor trying to get his hands on the pearl. Also everyone in their village thinks this is the so called "pearl of the world" so they would do anything to get their hands on that kind of power. Kino on the other hand is thinking having the pearl is a bad idea but he doesn't want to admit it. Juana might think that Kino is hiding something. Also i don't know if this was used as a metaphor but he apparently buried the pearl. Plus the doctor made the baby sick so he would have Kino pay him for Coyotito's treatment. Hes hoping Kino will pay him with the pearl. Lastly Juana thinks the pearl is causing all the problems, and maybe try to destroy the pearl.
