What would you do if you had to get back 600,000 acre of land back because your irresponsible uncle lost it in a bet. Also the only way you could ever possibly get it back was if you had to find something that most people think is a myth. In the short story the legend of darkness and light, Two kids and their guardian are now responsible for there uncles mistake. The beginning starts with a prologue which further explains the intentions of the book. Personally, i hate prologues on almost every book, but this one was a good one. Chapter one was very short but very blunt. So it like hit you with most of the book right away. I'm pretty sure that wasn't the best idea ever.
Even though chapter one wasn't so hot, it seemed to have a positive incline on the rest of the book. Such as the next couple chapters explained something I didn't know because it wasn't explained in the prologue or chapter one. That was something that i liked because it was something that i as the reader wasn't suspecting, so it kind of surprised me. Also since i thought i knew everything because of the prologue, but i guess i was very wrong about that one.
From the middle of the book till the end of the book they have many failed attempts at trying to steal the darkness stone from Markem. The man who gave it to his ex-wife for a wedding present because of its unnatural beauty. Also its value. The government is offering a ten million dollar reward for anyone who finds it and brings it to them. I think that the wife is going to sell it to them before anyone steals it. Well at least that's what i would do in a situation like that.'
When i sum up all the thing i think that its a great book that follows the comedy mode of literature. Awesome book that makes me feel like i need to get back 600,000 acres of land back too.
